The 5th Sustainable Thermal Energy Management International Conference (SusTEM2019) successfully held

The 5th Sustainable Thermal Energy Management International Conference (SusTEM2019) was successfully held at the Holiday Inn Hangzhou City Center on May 14th-17th, 2019. SusTEM2019 was organized jointly by the College of Energy Engineering in Zhejiang University and Newcastle University, UK. The conference was co-chaired by Professor Tony Roskilly, Director of Sir Joseph Swan Centre for Energy Research in Newcastle University and Professor Zitao Yu, Vice Dean of the College of Energy Engineering in Zhejiang University. The conference invited renowned scholars from different countries and regions all over the world and had in-depth discussions on renewable heating and cooling systems, industrial waste heat utilization and recovery, industrial energy, materials and products, building energy management and performance, environmental assessment of thermal energy systems, etc.

Professor Zitao Yu pointed out that the College of Energy Engineering in Zhejiang University has been dedicated to the field of clean energy utilization technology and sustainable energy research in recent decades. Zhejiang University was proud to provide several important engineering solutions with Chinese characteristics on global energy and environmental problems. Professor Yu believed that this conference will be a valuable opportunity to strengthen the future cooperation in the world to improve global sustainable development and harmonious civilization. 

Professor Zheng Bo from the College of Energy Engineering in Zhejiang University gave a keynote speech entitled Graphene Based Supercapacitors for Energy Storage: from Atomic Mechanisms to Applications. In addition, other domestic and international scholars also gave wonderful lectures and deep thoughts.
