In the morning, on September 18th, College of Energy Engineering held a staff meeting and announced the decision of incorporating Chemical Machinery Research Institute into College of Energy Engineering.
Yan Jianhua, vice president of Zhejiang University, Zhou Tianhua, director of Graduate School of discipline construction, attended the meeting and delivered speeches on behalf of the Zhejiang University. Academia Cen Kefa, Ni mingjiang, dean of Sustainable Energy Research Institute of Zhejiang University, Luo Zhongyang, dean of College of Energy Engineering and staff representatives from College of Energy Engineering and Chemical Machinery Research Institute with a whole of more than 100 people attended the meeting.
Professor Zhou Tianhua read out the announcement of the decision of incorporating Chemical Machinery Research Institute into College of Energy Engineering by Standing Committee of Zhejiang University.
Dean Luo Zhongyang warmly welcomed the join of Chemical Machinery Research Institute. And he indicated that College of Energy Engineering will give strong support to the development of Chemical Machinery Research Institute in all aspects, and hoped more achievements will be done in the cross disciplinary integration to achieve a better development of energy disciplines.
Zhen Jinyang, director of the Institute, thanked to all the supports, and reviewed the development of the Institute in the past 60 years and pointed out the achievements and challenges.
Vice president Yan Jianhua reviewed the connections between the two subjects of chemistry and energy, expressed his gratitude to all the staff, and expected the staff of College of Energy Engineering substantively explore the plan of future, strengthen the all-round construction of the team, strengthen the cross integration between disciplines, and got an international perspective with the guidance of traditional college culture - seeking truth, unity and innovation. And he believe that with the headship of Academia Cen Kefa and Professor Ni Mingjiang, College of Energy Engineering wouldembrace a better future.
