On the night of 1th March, 2012, Ceremony of ZJU's Fifth Competition of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction was successfully held in classroom East 2-105 in Zijingang Campus, 66 teams took part in.
The ceremony began with slogan “Outstanding, Showed by You”. The opening address was given by vice director of the office of research training and external communication of undergraduate school, Yiping Mao. He appreciate teachers and students of Energy Engineering Department who made great efforts forCompetition Energy Saving and Emission Reduction.
Prof. Hu Yacai, director of Institute of Thermal Science and Power System and general secretary of Competition of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction, analyzed the prospect of the competition, and emphasized the spirite of the competition.
Doctor Xiong Shusheng, the team leader of ZJU of the fifth competition of energy saving and emission reduction gave several points for attention and expressed his best wishes. Prof. Qiu Limin, vice dean of Energy Engineering Department, illustrated how can energy saving and emission reduction joint with reality with two examples in daily life. Prof. Qiu pointed out the importance of cooperation, creation and communication for competition, and emphasized the intension of “Energy Saving and Emission Reduction”. Doc. Wu Jie, secretary of the base of competition, briefed the procedure and cautions of the competition.
Exchange of experience given by the winner team which won the first prize of the forth Competition of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction attracted everyone’s eyes.
