In the morning of Nov.28th, of 2011, the 2011-year academic meeting of Combustion branch of Chinese thermal energy engineering Physical Society, namely exchanging meeting on the process of combustion project of state natural sciences fund, which is undertook by State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization and Institute for Thermal Power Engineerig of Zhejiang University, was grand held in Yongqian theater.
The participants included Academician Xu Jianzhong and Wu Chengkang, well-known Combustion expert at home and abroad, Academician Cen Kefa of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor CK Law of Princeton University, Professor RK Hanson of Stanford University who are both academician of USA Engineering Resarch Institute, Liu Tao, head of third division of engineering,National Natural Science Foundation of China,Ji Jun,dean of teaching department, Professor Ni Mingjiang, President of institute for sustainable energy of Zhejiang University, Professor Luo Zhongyang, President of State Key Laboratory of Clean Energy Utilization and the department of energy of Zhejiang University, Professor Huang Zhen, vice-president of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Qi Fei of Science & Technology University, Professor Yao Qiang of Tsinghua University and so on.
The meeting was host by Professor Luo Zhongyang, Professor Ni Mingjiang, President of institute for sustainable energy of Zhejiang University addressed a speech to welcome the participants and awarded Academician Wu Chengkang and Cen Kefa with outstanding contribution prize and excellent dissertation in Combustion branch of Chinese thermal energy engineering Physical Society of 2010in the opening ceremony.
The meeting lasts for three days, which is attended by about 600 nationwide representatives.This meeting is quite an occasion for academic exchange in area of Combustion, it may promote the senior subject construction of Power Engineering and Engineering Thermophysics and improvement of academic research, and help the yong talent to grow faster, and then further strengthen the atmosphere of academic research.
