During June 5th to 8th, 2011, 12th International Congress on Combustion By-Products and their Health Effects: Combustion Engineering and Global Health in the 21st Century - Issues and Challenges is successfully hosted by Zhejiang University in the beautiful city of Hangzhou. This is also the first time the series of conferences being held in developing country.
Prof. Jianhua Yan from Zhejiang University together with Prof. Barry Dellinger from Louisiana State University took the place of the conference chair. This conference aimed to show the latest research accomplishment, strengthen the academic cooperation and communication in the fields of combustion, environment and health of each country, and further the interdisciplinary integration as well as a fast development. This conference received intense support from universities and colleges, research institutes and enterprises.
In-depth discussions concerning the conference issues were made by scholars and expert from different countries and areas, which effectively prompted the academic communication and cooperation both domestic and abroad in the area of combustion, environment, health and so on. It facilitated Chinese researchers and research institute by providing platform furthering experience exchanging and coordination with international colleagues, so that greater contribution can be made to the project of Energy Saving and Emission Reduction. In all, this is a successful academic event.
