As stated in No.328 Notice of Construction regulations of national pollution source supervising center(2010), Application for Establishing National Engineering and Technology Center of Controlling Air Pollution of Coal  and Feasibility Study Report of Establishing National Engineering and Technology Center of Controlling Air Pollution of Coal, which were proposed by our university, comply with the demand of the environmental protection technology development and regulations of National Environmental Protection Technology Center Administrative Measures and the Feasibility Study Report has been testified by experts. The proposal to build the national engineering and technology center of controlling air pollution of coal on the base of Zhejiang University got approval.

Major tasks of the center: according to the requirement of national Ambient Environment management, research and develop the common features and key technology of air pollution control; make engineering development and systematical integration of the important scientific results of air pollution prevention against coal, and advance industrialization; cultivate high-level Environmental Engineering technologists and managers to provide environmental managing, technology, information and consulting service to government, industries and the whole society.

The construction period of the center is two years. In accordance to the regulations of Administrative Measures and Feasibility Study Report, we will fulfill the capital investment, keep an eye on and track the development of global controlling technology of air pollution prevention against burning coal, establish the sound institutional framework and internal regulations, strengthen the communication and cooperation with both domestic and foreign experts, train and introduce talents, accomplish all the construction tasks on time.
